Dopo il successo delle Monkey Lamp e delle Mouse Lamp ho deciso di liberare il mio amore per gli animali e creare una collezione auto prodotta di pezzi esclusivi.
La mia passione per la scultura mi ha spinto a cercare soggetti più artistici, plastici in modo da esprimere al meglio la voglia di usare le mani.
Il mio desiderio era realizzare sculture di grandi dimensioni.
Ho immaginato una scena onirica, una giraffa trasognata che va a spasso con un lampadario in bocca, come incantata illumina la strada che percorre, ha la testa tra le nuvole perché è innamorata.
“She’s in Love but She doesn’t know it yet” perchè la giraffa ha il cuore lontano dalla testa!
Ho voluto aggiungere alle mie sculture questi lampadari antichi per renderle più esclusive e speciali, sia per il valore che hanno i componenti in ottone, sia per la difficoltà che ha la lavorazione della scultura che deve essere interamente eseguita a mano attorno al pezzo del lampadario.
Per rendere la composizione ancor più magica ho lasciato il cavo elettrico come se fosse strappato, come se l’animale avesse rotto il pezzo da poco, ma la luce è rimasta accesa.
Le sculture sono state realizzate con le mie mani con le tecniche della scultura classica, prima in creta poi stampate e infine riprodotte e ritoccate.

After the success of the Monkey Lamp and Mouse Lamp, I decided to free my love for animals and create a self-produced collection of exclusive pieces.
My passion for sculpture pushed me to look for more artistic, plastic subjects in order to better express the desire to use hands.
My desire was to make large sculptures.
I imagined a dreamlike scene, a dreamy giraffe that goes for a walk with a chandelier in its mouth, as enchanted she illuminates the road that runs, she has head in the clouds because she's in love.
“She’s in Love but She doesn’t know it yet” because the giraffe has the heart far away from its head!
I wanted to add to my sculptures these antique chandeliers to make them more exclusive and special, both for the brass components value and for the difficulty of the sculpture process that must be entirely done by hand around the piece of the chandelier.
To make the composition even more magical I left the electric cable as if it were torn, as if the animal had broken the piece recently,
but the light is still on.
The sculptures were made with my hands with the techniques of classical sculpture, first in clay then molded and finally reproduced and retouched.
